HUME PISTOL CLUB
LATEST NEWS
Okay it's been a while (just over a year to be exact) but I've finally decided to update the website. There have been a few complaints about the lack of updates but those who have complained have also run away at a great rate of knots when they're asked to contribute something to the website. So get involved, all too often I hear of club events, meetings, and interesting information well after the fact. If something is happening to do with the club, e-mail me at: webmaster@humepistolclub.com
We need pictures, videos, or just even general information if we want the website to continue being useful.
DARWIN
Our club members continue to do well on the national stage. Earlier in the year our Club President Brendon Murray, along with Doug Petts, Craig Elliott and Scott Taylor all represented NSW at the Australian IPSC Nationals in Darwin. Brendon and Doug were in the Open Gold team, Craig in the Open Silver team and Scott in the Production team. Craig came away with the best result helping the NSW Open Silver team to a second place.
The weather was warm and sunny with the conditions being much different to those back home. Walking out of the airport at 1am in the morning you were met with balmy 23 degree temps. Around 300 entrants attended the Nationals with some international teams also attending, including teams from Singapore and Papua New Guinea.
Competition was tough and the stages were interesting, the only complaints from competitors seemed to be about their own performances.
Next years IPSC Nationals will be in Perth.
Here's what the stages looked like. The shooter is Hume Pistol Club member, Scott Taylor.
IAIN YULE
Local school teacher and Hume Pistol Club member Iain Yule will be representing Australia at the Metallic Silhouette World Championships in Dechin, Czech Republic. Prime News did an excellent report which yI'll upload in the next day or two.
UPDATE: Here's the Prime News report about Iain going to ther Czech Republic. Funny enough they ran a quick report about Iain's return tonight but I missed recording it, apparently he finished two points behind the winner. Good effort. hopefully Iain can supply us with a full report in the next week or so.
Also club fees are due for all members, please pay promptly.

11.3.2008
Over 110 competitors attended the NSW APA IPSC State Titles at Hume Pistol Club on the weekend of the 9th & 10th of March. Most would agree that the 14 stages of the match were very well prepared and tested all aspects of IPSC shooting.
Thanks should go to all club members who put in their valuable time to make this match a success in addition to the members of IPSC NSW who worked tirelessly to make sure the match ran smoothly and without drama.
Congratulations should go the winners of each division. Brodie McIntosh winning Open, Mario Mori winning Standard and Gary Tueno winning Production division. While many competitors were ruing the long drive back home, many stated that we definitely need to see more matches held at Hume Pistol Club.
